Fairfield Community Picnic Celebrates Memorial Day

After cheering on the Memorial Day parade, head over to the third annual community picnic from noon to 4 p.m., hosted by Fairfield Museum and History Center. Bring your own picnic of purchase The Kiwanis Club's flavorful grilled hot dogs and hamburgers. More vendors will ply visitors with their varieties of food and ice cream at the food tent. Then, test your skill with old-fashioned family activities, including water balloon games, a watermelon eating contest, a three-legged race and more. The Museum offers free admission so visitors can explore its exhibits, including its newest, IMAGES, featuring the work of internationally acclaimed photographer Bill Eppridge.
